This inspection review provides in-person advice of existing conditions that should be disclosed, and how to do repairs correctly for a successful real estate transaction. This Inspection takes approximately one hours, is limited in scope (no roof, attic, or appliance testing), and DOES NOT INCLUDE a report (Detailed Report can be used by sellers as an alternative to disclosures. There is no safe Radon level and the EPA recommends to consider taking action at levels at or above 2.0. Corrective actions do not always have to involve an expensive active depressurization system. Schedule an inspection to help identify issues and areas specific to your home that may need to be repaired that may contribute to radon levels and wait until after your home inspection before testing to plan easy alternative solutions that may help reduce radon levels before investing in an expensive system.

Homeowners: We provide a FREE Radon Monitor loaner that you can setup for screening of your home's Radon level. This is useful for initial testing and to start taking actions to reduce radon levels in your home. Have a healthy home to enjoy, or a smoother transaction if you are planning on selling soon!
Equipment is provided on loan for free with our Home Maintenance Training or Homeowner's Review inspections. Loan term is 3 days (70 hrs), you must return equipment on-time to Eagle Properties' Rochester, MN dropoff address or pay a $10 loan fee per day up to a maximum cost of $100, but much like a library equipment the loan may be renewed for free depending on demand.

I have available for purchase a DIY Radon Test Kit for you as homeowner to perform the test. This includes two mail-in test packets that you place 4 inches apart in the lowest occupable level of the home, pickup after at least 3 days, and mail in a 2-day envelope to the testing laboratory to receive certified results via email less than a week later. This test method requires a longer inspection timeline. I do not setup, pickup, or mail this test kits, and I often recommend corrections to the home to reduce radon infiltration before testing.
